Model Lazy Ribbon 210-10

This model is caracterized by a ribbon with a length of 210mm and width of 10mm, and also a very high sensitivity. In all models, the first number indicates the effective length of the ribbon, and the second number indicates the width of the ribbon.

The housing is made out of 8mm thick steel plates. In the housing there are 6 neodymium magnets, 3 on each side of the ribbon. What makes this model special in comparison to other is that in the middle of the housing under the ribbon, there is a special supporting element with three additional neodymium magnets. Those three additional magnets have a role to direct the very strong magnetic field of 6 neodymium magnets towards the ribbon zone and this way increase the sensitivity of the ribbon, which on the output of 3,5ohms amounts fantastic 111 db/m/2.83v. The custom transformer is also hand wound, manufactured and indestructible. As in other models, the primary is wound with copper with a round wire of high purity, and the secondary with copper foil that’s 0,1 mm thick. The transformer is partially covered with resin, and the rest of the chamber volume is filled very precisely with absorption material, AZMAFON.

The ribbon itself is made out of 8 microns thick aluminum foil, which is ironed and stiffened by a particularly critical process. This ribbon doesn’t have carrier foil made out of MYLAR, it’s in direct touch with air. This provides the smallest possible moving mass, several hundreds of times smaller than any classic DOME tweeter and far smaller than RIBBONS with a MYLAR carrier foil.

The result is shockingly rich, detailed, the sound image is unencumbered by any colorations.

The ribbon itself is fixated on the ends to the supporting frame via tensioners. After installation, the ribbon is being precisely tensioned in order to achieve optimal performance.

Model 210-10 LAZY is user serviceable, which means that the user can replace the ribbon himself if necessary.

The FACE PLATE is laser-cut, hand processed, and the final processing is powder coating.

The speaker is supplied with 5 outputs: 3,5, 5, 7, 10 and 14 ohms. It is intended to operate as a super tweeter above 10 Khz in systems with horns.
